Born in Romania in 1986, Alexandru Radu Popescu spent much of his early years in Italy, where his parents worked. His life in photography began at an early age, where he receive his first camera and began shooting, filming and developing film images in the local Photoshop in Făgăraș his hometown. In 1998, when his parents returned from Italy on holiday, Alexandru received his fist Olympus analogy camera as a gift. At the age of 13 he moved to a small town in Italy where he attended high school at A. Toscanini in Chiari (BS) and the Hight school at G. Falcone in Palazzolo sull’Oglio as a Graphic Publisher. This is where he began to gain his first theoretic knowledge about the camera.
In 2014 he decided to move to London, and after a year, in 2015 he became a photographer at London Fashion Week. This helped him a lot emotionally because he was suffering from depression, and having such an important and demanding job very much helped him get through this hard time .
Gaining experience, and becoming more and more professional, he managed to photograph, in addition to London Fashion Week, the concerts of the greatest and most famous singers from Romania, through ROUKMEDIA, in London.
In 2017 and 2018 he was a photographer at the HOLI ONE Colour festival.
In 2018 he was a photographer at UNTOLD Festival, the largest electronic music festival held in Romania, in Cluj-Napoca for Parazitii.
In 2020 he joined the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA)
Initially, he began to work in construction after his arrival in London (December 2014)
